Todd Lineback's 1968 Cutlass Holiday Coupe

Pictures of Cutlass frontend rebuild

When I first got the Cutlass home, I replaced the 'untouched' original engine 2BBL intake with lots o'rust  with an Edelbrock intake and 4BBL 750CFM carb,  Front viewIntake off, awaiting Performer RPM, and after some cleanup

Frontend rebuild, performed by mom, my girlfriend Angie and myself.  We upgraded the drum brakes to discs using '69 spindles and lots of new parts and labor:

It took lots of sledgehammering and sweating, but we finally ripped the frontend components off .  We couldn't have done all this hard work unless we had mom's help and this great  work area (mom's garage).  After the A-arms were pulled, we dropped them off at the machine shop.  The arms were sandblasted and the polygraphite bushings and ball joints were pressed in.  I brought them home, cleaned them up and painted the parts.  Slowly, in the evenings after work we began installing the parts back together.  Here's a picture of the left  disc brake setup , not finished at that point.  It took about a month from start to finish and rides and stops better than a '68 ever could before.

Now to the Engine Rebuild...
