Our new Vista Cruiser

We happened upon a '72 Vista Cruiser for sale on the 'net.  It was in perfect shape and sounded too good to be true.   After emailing the owner and some conversation over email, the owner sent pictures of the Vista Cruiser.  It seems the wagon was in the family for years and it was time to sell it.  From the pictures, we fell in love with it...being of limited funds.....we had to wait several months but we finally called the owner and drove over to buy it.   It seems that the wagon had been in the family for years and was well taken care of, it drove the 3+ hour trip back home with no problems. We brought some of the Cutlass SSII wheels and some other Camaro wheels I had as the owner warned us of slow leaks and bald tires.  It will need this and that, but looks great already!

The Vista Cruiser was well taken care of, almost rust free and running pretty good after a tuneup.   The heads look like they need some work, new valve guides as the least.   The stats on the Vista:   Olds 350, TH350 and a corporate 10 bolt rearend.   I am still not too sure on the rearend gears, but hoping it's around 2.73 or up as I can upgrade to racier gears much easier.
